ProHire is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst. Our client is a 30+ year old Medical Device company located in San Diego. In this position you will be responsible for, requirements gathering, design, development, testing and documentation for various BI/DW development and support activities.
Requirements For The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst:
Must be fully versed in working with Cognos
Must have an understanding of ERP business processes, data warehouse and BI concepts and ability to apply educational and practical experience to improvise business intelligence application
Must be able to provide simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives
Ability to provide both innovative and improvement solutions to current and anticipated business challenges
Expert knowledge of data warehouse architecture
Well versed with SQL and MDX concepts
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to interact positively with peer groups within IT and outside IT and management
Must have an understanding of ERP business processes, data warehouse and BI concepts and ability to apply educational and practical experience to improvise business intelligence application

Knowledge of Informatica, Tableau, Oracle applications, ERP products, Big Data and related technologies
Responsibilities For the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst:
Leads projects independently end to end
Coordinate with offshore team regarding strategies and developing roadmaps for BI projects end to end
Provide support to end users of BI Applications from system analysis to BI/ETL development and support
Interact with users to gather requirements from various departments and document business requirements; and to prepare functional specifications and mockup designs as necessary
Design and develop various Enterprise Business Intelligence Solutions including interfacing and integration with ERP systems of records, ETL design, Data modeling and database design, reporting and analytics solutions
Design data warehouse development and enhancement projects including data modeling, end to end solutions
Troubleshoot data warehouse and BI issues using SQL development and querying tools (e.g. Toad), provide production support and help resolve nightly ETL data & Cube refresh issues
Interact with local/remote development teams and other regional BI teams for production support
Troubleshoot, debug and diagnose BI/ETL issues
Develop and/or enhance BI solutions - expert knowledge of Cognos and Oracle PL/SQL programming required
Provide performance tuning and enhancement of ETL processes, including supporting technical documentation
Provide BI training to various business users on new BI projects
