Safety Manager
We are currently seeking a Safety Manager. For a leading provider of facility & security solutions based in Monterey Park CA with over 5,000 employees and has multiple offices though out the Western United States. As the Safety Manager for our landscaping, janitorial services, and security guard services company, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees across various operational areas. Your primary objective will be to develop, implement, and oversee safety programs and procedures to mitigate risks and promote compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with management, supervisors, and frontline workers to cultivate a culture of safety and continuously improve our safety practices.
Responsibilities and Duties of Safety Manager:
• Safety Program Development: Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs tailored to the unique risks
associated with landscaping, janitorial services, and security guard services
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the
industry and ensure company compliance.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments of work sites, equipment, and procedures to
identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Training and Education: Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, including
orientation for new hires and ongoing training sessions.
• Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root
causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Safety Policies and Procedures: Develop, review, and update safety policies, procedures, and protocols in
accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements, including updating our current IIPP.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans for various scenarios, including
natural disasters, fires, medical emergencies, and security incidents.
• Safety Communication: Facilitate open communication channels regarding safety issues and initiatives
encouraging employees to report concerns and participate in safety improvement efforts.

• Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices
to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
Skills and qualifications for Safety Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety
• Bilingual in Spanish
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, OHST) is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of health and safety plans requirements in California
• Ability to develop and conduct effective training programs and meetings
• Responsible for developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, evaluating practices
and facilities to ensure compliance with legal guidelines
• Proven experience in safety management, preferably in the landscaping, janitorial services, or security guard
services industry.
Minimum Education/Experience: Safety Manager:
• Must have a minimum of 5-10 experience in safety training and supervision
• Excellent organizational and motivational skills and the ability to travel
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (works, excel, power point, and outlook)
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, 30-hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards plus familiarity
with DOE 10 CFR Part 851 highly desirable

• Generous Base 100K+ (Higher Depending On Experience) 90-115K Mario

• Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 8AM - 5PM
• Some local and out of state travel
